On the complaint of Rudrapur city section railway engineer Rajendra Kumar, an FIR was lodged at GRP Police Station Rampur under sections of the Railways Act 1989 against unnamed people.
The accident took place in the Lumding-Bardarpur Hill section under Lumding division.
Enraged by the sexual assault, the victim's family and passengers thrashed Kumar.
All passengers were evacuated at Kasu Begu railway station, they said.

A Mumbai court has denied bail to the driver of a BEST bus involved in a fatal accident last month, finding that he was driving in a rash and negligent manner.
